Danish Commerce and Companies Agency

The Danish Commerce and Companies Agency (DCCA) is a part of The Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, headed by Mr. Brian Mikkelsen.

Core duties of the DCCA are the management of business registration and legislation, including the Companies Act and the Company Accounts Act. Moreover, the DCCA is responsible for the publication of business information, and works for effective administration of legislation, including systematic red tape reduction and the development and use of advanced web tools.

Also, the DCCA has an important coordinating and practical role in the Government's policy on corporate social responsibility, including ethical, social, environmental and other matters dealing with the responsible behaviour of businesses.

Danish Standards Foundation

Danish Standards Foundation (Dansk Standard) is a private commercial foundation. The profits of DS are ploughed back into the development of new activities for the benefit of society and the corporate sector. The core competences lie in the development of standards at the national and international level like the international guidance on Social Responsibility, ISO 26000, or management systems like ISO 9001 and 14001. DS is also offering courses and consultancy services relating to the implementation of and value created by using standards. The Danish secretariat of the eco-labels, EU Flower and the Nordic Swan, is part of the DS Foundation. Danish Standards Foundation has decided to use ISO 26000 in the values and activities of the foundation and is currently engaged in a broad stakeholder dialogue.
